Diamond & Quantum Weekly | Jun 1–7, 2026
Sifangda reported small-batch diamond heat-spreader supply, while Quantinuum and D-Wave entered new capital and engineering-roadmap stages.
Weekly signal
This was a weak-signal accumulation week, with one diamond disclosure worth following and major capital and roadmap events in quantum computing.
Sifangda reported that diamond heat spreaders had entered small-batch supply and described progress at its Shaya project. Small-batch supply is a stronger commercial signal than sample testing, but without customer, volume, yield, margin, and repeat-order data it remains an early gate.
Quantinuum completed a Nasdaq listing and reported raising US$1.68 billion. D-Wave released a gate-model quantum-computing roadmap alongside its annealing business. The first event tested public-market valuation; the second tested whether a company could credibly expand its engineering architecture.
The period reinforced a common rule: financing extends runway, a roadmap defines intent, and small-batch supply begins customer evidence. None substitutes for the others.
Evidence limits and uncertainties
- Small-batch supply did not disclose customers, volume, unit economics, or qualification scope.
